V.A.Savinov, Doctor of Medical Sciences, president of the Association of Hirudotherapists of Russia and the Moscow Association of Hrudotherapists. Member of the European Society of Medical Oncologists (ESMO) and the European Cancer Research Association (EASGS). After graduating from military medicine in 1957, he served on a submarine. Head of medical services, he later held various positions in the USSR navy. He has been working in the healthcare system since 1973: first as a surgeon, urologist and andrologist, and since 1994 as a top-level therapist. Founder (1993), publisher and editor-in-chief of the scientific and practical journal Asklepion. Areas of scientific and practical interest: human energy system, occupational therapy and other natural methods of treatment, immunology, oncology. Author of over 250 scientific articles published in Russia and abroad. Advisor to the President of the National Security Academy on health issues. Honorary member of the British Association of Hirudotherapists. Member of the Union of Journalists of the Russian Federation.
